About From Struggle to Sound Music

Tamra began singing at the age of five, but songwriting didn’t enter our lives until after the heartbreaking loss of our daughter, Amanda L. Hagan (Morgan), on May 17, 2024.
In the middle of grief, music became more than melody — it became survival. Songwriting gave us a way to breathe when the air felt heavy, and a way to turn pain into something that could be felt instead of carried alone. What started as sorrow slowly transformed into purpose, giving our hearts a voice when words alone were not enough.
For Tamra, music had always been there. For Jason, songwriting was new territory. What began as support, encouragement, and editing soon became collaboration. Today, we both write. We both revise. We both challenge and strengthen each other’s lyrics. Every song is shaped through prayer, conversation, honesty, and faith.
From Struggle to Sound Music is not just a name — it is our testimony. It is the story of grief met with grace, loss met with love, and brokenness transformed into sound.
